Music Sessions @ JGS presents Maalavika Manoj and the duo of Ramya Pothuri & Tanya Shah for a full set.
Mali aka Maalavika Manoj is a Mumbai based Songwriter/Singer. Her music combines inspiration from iconic pop acts such as The Carpenters, The Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac, with the indie stylings of the '80s, '90s and onwards. From the release of her debut EP Rush (2017) to the singles Play (2018) and Mango Showers (2019), Mali's sound has evolved from a lighter more organic sound to a darker more intricately produced one. She is currently working on her debut full-length album titled, Caution to the Wind, slated for release in early 2020.
Playing at the NH7 this year, Water & Rum is a Mumbai based duo featuring Ramya Pothuri and Tanya Shah. After becoming acquainted at True School of Music, they began writing music together and soon after formed Water & Rum, releasing two singles the following year. Bringing together their influences of folk and dream pop, they create ethereal songs featuring beds of guitar arpeggios and harmonies.
